About Mike
Mike is an entrepreneur and a software developer, who enjoys the challenges and learning opportunities that are abundant in the software industry. His primary focus is the Microsoft .Net Framework platform, ranging from 2.0 through 3.5. His .Net experience involves everything from Windows Forms and ASP.Net web applications, to line of business WPF applications, involving Windows services, WCF services and database manipulation.
Mike’s current focus is on his venture, BG Alert, which sprang to life when his friend’s son, who has type 1 diabetes, was getting sub-par care and minimal attention from his school in Utah. BG Alerts ability to improve the attention and care that children get in school is the driving force behind Mike’s ambitions for the company. The goal of BG Alert is to improve management for as many families as possible, as well as make a positive impact on the type 1 diabetes world through donating a portion of all revenue to research organizations. Hopefully, type 1 diabetes will have a cure one day.
